Doreen Helm
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
In her role as Chief Financial Officer, Doreen Helm manages all facets of Hoffman & Ospina's financial strategy and day- to-day accounting and bookkeeping operations, ensuring that the firm continues its trajectory of growth from a solid and strong financial foundation.
Prior to joining the firm, Doreen spent more than 16 years in financial services, including working in public accounting as an auditor; serving as the CFO to a regional business enterprise; and providing financial management and turn-around consulting to small and mid-sized businesses.
Mother to 10 children ages 6 to 23, Doreen discovered a new passion for residential and interior design while remodeling her family's home to accommodate the space needs of her growing family. (In fact, her very first project involved flipping the entire house—while her family was living in it!) That experience led her to a gratifying interior design career, where she was continually recognized by clients for her ability to bring their unique visions to life and for her skills working effectively with contractors.
From financial plans to floor plans, Doreen is passionate about solving problems and designing solutions. Today, she delights in putting her two professional loves—finance and design— together as CFO for one of the nation's leading, award- winning landscape architecture firms.
She holds certifications in Interior Redesign, Project Planning and Seasonal Decorating, and has credentials as a Senior Home Safety and Aging in Place Specialist.
